- ERR (general error) — Controller shows ERR – usually a failed igniter or RTD probe.
- LEr (Low Error / temp too low) — Grill temperature dropped below setpoint by more than 100F. Usually fuel or airflow.
- HEr (High Error / temp too high) — Temperature exceeded safe range. Usually flare-up or grease fire.
- Controller display blank or frozen — No display, unresponsive buttons. Usually a power issue or controller failure.
- WiFire connection lost — App shows offline. Usually WiFi range or router issue, not the grill.
ERR code fix
General error – usually triggered by igniter failure or RTD probe failure. Check both.
- Power cycle the grill (unplug 30 seconds).
- Restart and watch the igniter for orange glow within 60 seconds.
- If no glow, replace the hot rod igniter.
- If igniter works, check RTD probe for correct readings against a second thermometer.
